Get moving with pedometersPedometers are a great way to see if your family is getting enough activity. Give each family member a pedometer and compare numbers each night. Keep track with a chart on the refrigerator of each person’s steps for a week or a month. Some good natured competition can increase everyone’s activity. There are even pet pedometers. You just might find that you run circles around your dog!
About 2000 steps = 1 mile. Aim for 10,000 steps a day.
